Surat Metro Travel Guide

Essential tips and information for riding the Surat Metro.

Peak Hours

Peak hours are 8:00-10:00 AM and 5:00-8:00 PM on weekdays. Trains run every 4-5 minutes during peak hours and every 8-10 minutes during off-peak hours. Plan your journey to avoid the rush.

Smart Card Benefits

Get a rechargeable smart card for a 10% discount on every trip. Cards can be purchased and recharged at any metro station counter or automated kiosk. Minimum recharge is Rs 100.

Interchange at Majura Gate

Majura Gate is the only station where you can transfer between the Green and Blue lines. Follow the interchange signs. The transfer walk takes about 3 minutes. No additional ticket needed for transfers.

Accessibility Features

All stations have elevators, escalators, and tactile paths. Wheelchair-accessible gates are available at every station. Priority seating is reserved in each coach for elderly, disabled, and pregnant passengers.

Onboard Amenities

Trains are fully air-conditioned with CCTV surveillance. Free Wi-Fi is available at all stations. Each coach has real-time route display screens showing upcoming stations.

Rules & Etiquette

Eating and drinking are not allowed inside trains. Keep luggage within the allowed size limits (max 25 kg). Stand behind the yellow line on platforms. Let passengers alight before boarding.
